Amantani Island

Located on the big lake facing the island of Taquile. Seen from afar, it appears to have the shape of a frog. The rural communities on this island still live very traditionally. Visitors have an opportunity to stay with the families on the island, since there are no hotels or other accommodations here. You will be able to share experiences and customs. On the island's highest points, you will find ancient religious centers dedicated to Pachamama and Pachatata. These ceremonial centers are still being used by the island's inhabitants.
